AD Middle East's guide, 5 Art Exhibitions in the UAE To Bookmark This October, is a round-up of the month's shows across the Emirates, with Tabari's Fellow Travellers among them. The exhibition, curated by Professor Omar Kholeif, opened at Tabari, Gate Village, Building 3, in DIFC, Dubai, on 8 October 2026.
Fellow Travellers was conceived by Kholeif, an artist, author and cultural historian, from nearly two decades of research, writing and relationships with artists. It brings together Sonia Balassanian, Jai Chuhan, Luísa Correia Pereira, Lalitha Lajmi and Irene Scheinmann with Kholeif's own paintings, shown under their own name for the first time. The works follow journeys across Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas, and the show is accompanied by a limited-edition publication with original poetry and a curatorial essay.
