Dubai’s renowned Artspace Gallery presents Moroccan artist Zakaria Ramhani
A diverse and moving exhibition of his contemporary paintings will be showcased
Dubai, 14 February 2010 – Artspace Gallery has announced that it will showcase an innovative selection of works by the Moroccan artist Zakaria Ramhani.
The exhibition will take place from 25th of February to 31st of March, 2010, at the Artspace premises in the DIFC Gate Village located at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).
Zakaria Ramhani was born in 1983 in Tangier, Morocco, in a conservative family, with a father whose work was, as a painter, to represent typically Moroccan and traditional scenery, portraits and still lifes. In 2006, Ramhani is the youngest artist of his country to receive a bursary from the French Government to participate in an artistic residency at the Cité internationale des arts in Paris.
Artspace is proud to exhibit Zakaria Ramhani’s works in a solo exhibition for the second time in Dubai. As a young artist, he shows amazing talent through his unique creations using Arabic calligraphy to create faces.
Ramhani cleverly turns simple but colorful modern writing and language in the creation of vibrant and mesmerizing faces that draw the viewer in. His work is extremely appealing and its originality will lead to great interest from our valued investors. We strongly support his talent and are truly excited to welcome him back to Dubai to share his new work with the city.
