Here, Hazem Harb approaches the notion of stone through the alignment of body and monument. His works move between figuration and abstraction, allowing forms to be read at once as wounded bodies, archaeological fragments and collapsing structures. Drawing upon the languages of excavation, ruins and historical residue, Harb treats the surface as a space in which personal and collective histories accumulate. The works register pressure, grief and rupture while insisting upon the continued presence of Palestinian life and memory.
