Lulwah Al Homoud is among the pioneering figures of contemporary Saudi art and the first Saudi to receive an MA from Central Saint Martins. For over two decades, she has reframed Islamic geometric tradition as a contemporary visual language, breaking down Arabic letterform into mathematically grounded patterns where script meets spirituality and structural grammar. What Does Not Strain extends this enquiry into the conditions of endurance. Al Homoud's work is held in the collections of the British Museum, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Jeju National Museum, the Five Continents Museum in Munich and the Barjeel Art Foundation.
