Almaha Jaralla in Conversation

In this 30-minute interview Emirati artist, Almaha Jaralla, discusses the influence of the UAE’s architecture and the social habits of her ancestors on her paintings. For her latest show, the artist has worked with her aunt’s archival portraits snapped during the late 70s and 80s; images tinged with the red hue that Almaha now reveals to us through her canvases.
