This work takes its title from a Paul McCartney song, a gesture that locates the painting within a broader field of cultural absorption. Large banana-yellow forms sweep across a warm, peach-toned ground, the composition structured around movement and counter-movement, forms that curl, open and overlap. A disc of pale light sits near the upper centre, reading as moon or lamp, an anchor around which the painting's other elements orbit.12
